Utilities that are hidden under the soil often pose a problem for construction projects. Without proper planning or excavation, damages may occur to utilities, workers may be injured, and budgets can soar. But by using hydro-excavation many of these issues can be avoided and productivity can rise.
Hydro-excavation, is a non-destructive method for exposing underground infrastructure, using a combination of pressurized water and a vacuum system. By injecting pressurized water into the soil, the soil soon liquefies and is simply vacuumed away, safely exposing the utility infrastructure underneath. Contractors can then lay pipe, install poles, or repair vital services quickly and efficiently without damaging utility infrastructure or injuring workers. Safe for all soil types, hydro-excavation can greatly improve your productivity, safety, and ultimately, profits.
Finding hidden leaks in the plumbing infrastructure of a building can be a challenging and daunting task. We utilize a myriad of tools and methods to locate and pinpoint hidden leaks, without creating holes in your walls or disrupting your entire building.
Our trained and knowledgeable technicians may use one or more of these methods and tools as they thoroughly traverse through the leak detection process. We will likely begin with a low-tech method – a simple walk-through visual inspection of the building, which often allows us to locate the vast majority of issues. Depending on the information gleaned from the visual inspection, our technicians may advance into the use of other techniques such as pressure testing, moisture sensors, fiber optic bore scopes, thermal lasers and cameras and electronic pipe locators. Using these state-of-the-art tools, we can accurately locate your plumbing leaks with minimal disruption to your home or business.
Excavation services are an integral part of many construction projects involving sewer, gas, or water line repair or installation. As a licensed excavation contractor, we have completed thousands of excavation projects throughout central Ohio. Our experienced operators utilize the latest equipment to ensure that your project is done with minimal mess and for a reasonable rate.
Lift stations perform the necessary function of pumping wastewater or sewage from a lower to a higher elevation. However, a malfunctioning pump caused by a variety of issues such as accumulated grease, fats or oils, can create a multitude of problems, from blockages to sewage spills and backups. The resulting environmental issues and costly repair bills can turn into a nightmare for your business. Our experienced team of technicians will work with you to ensure that your lift station is functioning at its best, from initial installation of the lift station to regular maintenance and cleaning.
Without proper maintenance and removal, grease traps can result in sewer overflow issues, impacting your business and your bottom line. Besides creating a health risk, an overflowed sewer can leave a lasting negative impression on your customers and the public at large. Let our skilled technicians pump out the contents of your grease trap, extending the life of the trap and protecting your business. Our experienced team will ensure that the collected grease waste is properly handled in compliance with all regulations and industry best practices, giving you the peace of mind to concentrate on growing your business.
Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) inspection is an excellent and cost-effective tool to help evaluate the structural conditions within a sewer, drain, or other underground pipe. Using CCTV remotely-controlled camera systems and software, our technicians can determine the exact location and extent of any cracks, blockages, or other defects, all with minimal disruption to your property or the environment. After identifying the affected areas, our technicians can use this knowledge to develop a comprehensive approach to cleaning or repairing the pipe to increase efficiency and capacity, thereby saving you time and money.
Manholes can often have cracks and other leaks or suffer even greater structural problems. By carefully inspecting and assessing each manhole’s condition, our experienced technicians can determine the exact type of rehabilitation needed for the manhole.
There are several different types of rehabilitation which can be performed. Less damaged manholes may simply need a replacement of the existing frame, steps, and cover. Sealing and grouting the manhole or adjusting its height are other common rehabilitation methods. For more intensive structural issues, the application of cementitious mortar or a sprayed epoxy liner or other repairs in the interior of the manhole may be required. Our technicians have the knowledge and expertise to quickly provide the correct rehabilitation method at a fair price.
Michael Perrow Says:
I had a nasty kitchen sink backup and my garbage disposal failed. A friend recommended Capital Plumbing and Mechanical, so I called and had a serviceman at my door in 45 minutes! 30 minutes later, I had an unclogged sink and a working garbage disposal. All this along with a great price. I now have Capital Plumbing and Mechanical's number posted on my refrigerator and on speed dial.
Richard Carman Says:
When I got home from work, I found a note from the gas company stating that I had a gas leak and that service would not be restored until the leak was repaired by a D.O.T. Certified technician. I called a few companies out of the yellow pages, but Capital Plumbing and Mechanical gave me the best price and was able to be at my home with in a couple of hours. I was extremely satisfied with the services that they provided for me and my family.
